Types of Exercise Bikes

Exercise bikes are very famous because they provide a complete full-body workout, which can be a time-saving feature for many persons. A 20 minute period on it can provide more health benefits than longer exercises that target only the particular parts of the body. There are mainly 4 types of these Exercise Bikes.

Upright Stationary Exercise Bike

Upright exercise bikes are the most like standard, traditional bicycles. They stand up like regular bikes and have typical bicycle-style seats and pedals.

Recumbent Stationary Exercise Bike

For additional back support while exercising, we prefer recumbent exercise bikes. Recumbent bikes are more car-like with larger seats and backrests, and the position of the rider is partially reclined with the bike pedals in front of the seat instead of below the seat.

Indoor Cycles

Indoor cycling becomes famous with the introduction of spinning classes at health clubs and gyms. These bikes are similar to upright exercise bikes, but the mechanical components of it are even closer to real bicycles.
